Sweet little 1920s needlepoint,
cross-stitch handbag with bright green handles. These bags were popular from the 1920s to the early 1940s. They were often sold in dime stores in a do-it-yourself kit.
The clear lucite handles have an exotic bird on either side eating what look like grapes.
The background color of the purse is grey, with a kelly green diamond pattern. Within the diamond shapes are blue, purple, and orangey pink flowers.
Then inside lining looks like silk taffeta in a stripe pattern. The liner is intact. I am rating this purse as being in excellent condition with no fading, tears, holes, or wear.
The purse is 9” wide by 8” tall.
